The Kyung Hee Academy Board of Directors established a new presidential appointment system prior to this appointment. The system aims to inherit and develop the founding spirit of Kyung Hee Academy?"Creation of a Cultural World" and the tradition of "Scholarship and Peace"?while ensuring excellence in the university’s core responsibilities of scholarship, education, and practice, future orientation, and dynamic institutional management. It guarantees the participation of all members, including professors, students, staff, and alumni, in a rational presidential appointment process.
The presidential appointment procedure was conducted over about a year starting from January last year. Based on the opinions of the university community, the Kyung Hee Academy Board derived the presidential ideal and conducted case studies and consultations with leading overseas institutions. During the candidate recommendation phase, members including alumni could freely recommend presidential candidates considering the presidential ideal and the roles and responsibilities of the president.
