View original imageJo Seon-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, will conduct inspections of disaster-prone areas and 11 fire stations within the jurisdiction to mark the beginning of the new year.
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 10th that Director Jo will start visiting 11 fire stations and disaster-prone areas within the jurisdiction from the Seongnam area on the 9th until the 15th of next month, aiming to minimize casualties caused by winter fires and other disasters.
During these on-site visits, Director Jo will share key policy tasks with staff and hold sessions for communication and empathy to discuss current issues.
At an earlier visit to the Seongnam Fire Station, Director Jo discussed major issues such as apartment fire prevention measures, on-site administrative guidance for facilities vulnerable to large-scale winter fires, and strengthening response readiness for heavy snow and cold waves, while encouraging the staff.
He also moved to an approximately 40-year-old apartment complex in Seongnam that has been approved for use, inspected rooftop evacuation facilities and fire-fighting equipment, and provided education to officials on initial fire response and resident evacuation procedures.

Director Jo stated, "This on-site visit was initiated to strengthen an organizational culture that values experience and learning and to minimize casualties during the winter season.
