Mokpo Coast Guard Urgently Transfers Two Foreign Crew Members in Emergency
Rescue Forces Dispatched to Waters Near Hongdo, Sinan-gun
Mokpo Maritime Police Station (Chief Kwon Oh-seong) urgently transported emergency patients from the sea to the land at dawn.
According to Mokpo Maritime Police, at around 6:06 a.m. on the 9th, a report was received that crew member B (Vietnamese, male, in his 30s) and crew member C (Vietnamese, in his 30s) of vessel A (153 tons, registered in Incheon, 13 crew members) suffered a right ankle fracture and an elbow contusion respectively while working near Hongdo, Sinan County. Rescue forces were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Mokpo Coast Guard is providing emergency care to a patient who experienced a medical emergency at sea.

The maritime police used a patrol vessel to transfer the two patients to a coastal rescue boat, and at around 10:44 a.m., they were promptly handed over to the 119 ambulance team at Namgang Dock, Amtae-myeon, Sinan County.
The two patients transported to land by the maritime police are reported to have received treatment at a large hospital located in Mokpo.
