Jeju Western Fire Station Creates Fire Safety Murals at Hallim Oil Market
Jeju Western Fire Station (Chief Go Jeong-bae) announced on the 9th that it has created fire extinguishers in apartment complexes and fire prevention cultural heritage safety murals at Hallim Oil Market, a traditional market frequently visited by residents and tourists.
This mural features fire safety phrases in Jeju dialect familiar to residents, painted directly by firefighters as a performance to urge residents to manage fire safety.

It was also prepared to raise awareness of fire hazards amid the recent increase in fatal accidents caused by fires in apartment complexes during the winter season.
Chief Go Jeong-bae said, “There have been frequent cases of deaths during evacuation in recent apartment fires, so systematic promotion of evacuation guidelines is very important,” adding, “To protect precious lives, it is crucial to familiarize yourself and your family with the location of evacuation spaces and fire facilities in your home and to establish an evacuation plan.”
