Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and Financial Security Institute Obtain 'ISMS-P Certification'
On the 8th, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced that it has obtained the Information Security Management System and Personal Information Protection Management System (ISMS-P) certification from the Financial Security Institute.
The ISMS-P certification is an accredited certification system that assesses whether a company's customer personal information protection management system is properly operated. It can be acquired by meeting a total of 101 audit criteria, including establishment and operation of the management system (16 items), protection measure requirements (64 items), and personal information processing stage requirements (21 items).
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance has maintained the ISMS (Information Security Management System) certification for 10 years since 2014. This time, it transitioned to the ISMS-P certification, which integrates the audit criteria in the 'personal information protection' area, thereby strengthening the reliability of personal information protection.
For securing overseas credibility and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance simultaneously obtained the international information security certification 'Information Security Management System' (ISO 27001) from the global certification body DNV. ISO 27001 evaluates whether the company has implemented, inspected, and improved an appropriate management system across 14 management areas and 144 detailed items, including information security policies, access control, and information security incident response.
