Pohang Steelers Appoint Choi Jong-jin as President and Park Tae-ha as Head Coach

On the 4th, Lee Kang-deok, Mayor of Pohang, met with Choi Jong-jin, the new president of Pohang Steelers, and Park Tae-ha, the head coach, to congratulate them on their appointments.

View original imageChoi Jong-jin, who took office as the 11th CEO of Pohang Steelers, joined POSCO (then Pohang Iron and Steel) in 1989 and has held key positions since then.
Choi Jong-jin said, “Surpassing 50 years since its founding and looking toward 100 years, we will do our best to become the undisputed top professional football club in Korea that empowers and is loved by the citizens of Pohang.”
Coach Park Tae-ha, the first and only one-club man coach in the club’s history, said, “Pohang has been a meaningful place to me since I first joined as a player, and it is an honor to be appointed as the head coach. I will do my best to show Pohang’s football.”
Mayor Lee Kang-deok said, “I sincerely congratulate President Choi Jong-jin and Coach Park Tae-ha, who truly love Pohang Steelers, the top professional football club, on taking the new leadership roles. We will continue to support Pohang Steelers together with the citizens so that they can create the strongest football history.”
