Changwon City Council "Will Continue to Be a Faithful Representative of Citizens This Year"
Kim I-geun, Chairman of the Changwon Special City Council in Gyeongnam, began his first legislative activity of 2024 by paying respects at the Changwon Chung-hon Tower on the 2nd.
On that day, Chairman Kim, along with Gu Jeom-deuk, Chairman of the Council Operations Committee, Kim Kyung-su, Chairman of the Planning and Administration Committee, Park Seon-ae, Chairman of the Economic Welfare and Women’s Committee, Jeong Gil-sang, Chairman of the Culture, Environment, and City Committee, and Kwon Seong-hyeon, Chairman of the Construction, Marine, and Agriculture Committee, visited the Changwon Chung-hon Tower to honor the patriotic martyrs and national heroes.
He stated, “In the new year, I will do my best to listen to the voices of the citizens and become a council that communicates and is trusted so that the hopes of the citizens can be realized.”

At the chairpersons’ meeting, they requested smooth operation and support for legislative activities following the organizational restructuring to a system of 2 departments and 6 teams starting this year.
Afterwards, the chairpersons discussed the schedule for the 131st extraordinary session and shared information on regular property change reports and precautions regarding the Public Official Election Act in preparation for the National Assembly general election.
During the communication meeting with the executive branch, they received reports on ▲ the status of securing national budget for 2024 ▲ small-scale distributed fuel cell power generation projects ▲ the 2030 Changwon Urban Management Plan ▲ apartment complex management support projects ▲ and the progress of the high-grade trunk bus rapid transit system (S-BRT) construction project.
