The casino at Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort, operated by Lotte Tour Development, recorded its highest performance since opening last year, driven by an increase in overseas direct flight routes and the influx of foreign group tourists.

According to Lotte Tour Development on the 3rd, the annual net sales (amount after deducting agent commissions from total sales) of the Dream Tower casino division last year amounted to 152.37 billion KRW, a 248% increase compared to 43.679 billion KRW in 2022. This is the highest net sales recorded since the complex resort opened in June 2021.
As of December last year, net sales also rose to 14.228 billion KRW, a 582.5% increase compared to the same period the previous year. Quarterly net sales in the fourth quarter of last year reached 51.953 billion KRW, marking the highest quarterly performance ever. It surpassed the previous record set in the third quarter of last year (52.323 billion KRW), achieving over 50 billion KRW in net sales for two consecutive quarters.
The table drop amount (the amount exchanged by casino customers for chips) in the fourth quarter of last year was 386.656 billion KRW, setting a new quarterly record, up from 366.787 billion KRW in the previous third quarter. The number of casino visitors in the fourth quarter also reached a record high of 87,457.
A representative from Lotte Tour Development stated, "With the transition to an endemic phase and the expansion of overseas direct flight routes to Jeju to about 156 flights per week, along with an increase in foreign group tourists from Japan and Southeast Asia, the number of casino visitors and the table drop amount have significantly increased. This year, as overseas group tourists, including those from China, continue to grow and overseas direct flight routes potentially recover to the pre-COVID-19 level of about 174 flights per week, steady performance growth is expected."

Meanwhile, the hotel division of Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort (Grand Hyatt Jeju) recorded sales of 10.626 billion KRW in December last year. During the same period, the number of rooms sold was 26,616, a 12% increase compared to 23,762 rooms in the same period the previous year. Among these, foreign guests occupied 15,333 rooms, accounting for 58% of the total.
