Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, Work Optimization ... Pledges 'A Year Soaring with Passion'
The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (Director Park Jong-gil) pledged a vigorous start to soar as a "happy partner adding reassurance and stability to the workplace" on the 2nd, welcoming the new year of Gapjin, the 'Year of the Blue Dragon,' symbolizing hope and leap forward.
The Service held a kick-off ceremony at the headquarters auditorium attended by about 200 employees, including Director Park Jong-gil.
In his New Year's address, Director Park Jong-gil presented the future direction of the Service.
Marking the Year of the Blue Dragon, he vowed that this year would be one in which the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service would soar by modernizing workers' compensation insurance, labor welfare projects, and optimizing them to fit the times, as well as enhancing service levels.
Additionally, on the 60th anniversary of workers' compensation insurance, he called for a paradigm shift of workers' compensation insurance from existing cash compensation and simple medical treatment to social services supporting workplace and social reintegration, and emphasized thorough efforts to strengthen labor welfare services, including expanding the Small and Medium Enterprise Retirement Pension Fund system (Pureun Seed) and securing resources for the Labor Welfare Promotion Fund.
