Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, "Wishing Seniors a Healthier and Happier New Year"
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, visited Woori Mapo Welfare Center, the first branch of Hyo-do Bapsang in Daeheung-dong, on the morning of the 2nd to extend New Year's greetings to the elderly.
Currently, a total of 36 elderly people use the first branch of Hyo-do Bapsang in Daeheung-dong, and on this day, the New Year's staple menu, tteok-mandu-guk (rice cake and dumpling soup), was served at the table.
Mayor Park Gang-su, who visited the welfare center, conveyed New Year's wishes to each elderly person, checking on their well-being and health. He also offered words of encouragement to the volunteers preparing healthy meals for the elderly.
Mayor Park Gang-su emphasized, "In 2024, the Year of Gapjin, I will listen more attentively and work diligently for the happy and healthy lives of our elderly," adding, "Mapo-gu will keep filial piety to the elderly close to its heart and continue to implement various welfare projects for seniors."

Mapo-gu plans to expand the project so that a total of 1,500 elderly people can use Hyo-do Bapsang by the end of 2024 through securing additional meal service institutions and establishing a side dish factory.
