The Changwon Fire Headquarters in Gyeongnam announced on the 2nd that Fire Officer Shin Chang-hoon was selected as the 2023 Changwon City 'SAVER KING.'
'SAVER KING' is an honorable award given to the paramedic who received the most badges and certificates in the categories of Heart (resuscitation of cardiac arrest patients), Brain (contribution to minimizing sequelae in acute stroke patients), and Trauma (contribution to sustaining life and reducing disability rates in severe trauma patients) throughout the year 2023.
Fire Officer Shin was appointed in 2015 and has saved a total of 15 patients so far. In 2023, he saved the lives of six critically ill patients, leading to his selection as the 2023 Changwon City 'SAVER KING.'
Notably, in June 2023, he saved the life of a patient who suffered cardiac arrest at a residence in Seongsan-gu through prompt and accurate emergency treatment on site. Additionally, in February, he saved a citizen who experienced cardiac arrest at a residence in Uichang-gu, contributing to saving six critically ill patients last year.
