He said, "The democracy we have achieved is a system where anyone with differing views competes to gain the consent of more citizens through voting," and "I wish for Lee Jae-myung's safety, well-being, and speedy recovery."
Additionally, former leader Lee urged investigative authorities to "conduct a strict and swift investigation into this matter."

Lee received emergency treatment on site and was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
