Gyeonggi Fire Department to Hold Firefighting Policy Discussion with Provincial Representatives Next Year

On the 22nd, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 25th that they held the ‘So·Ba·Si119 Safety Policy Forum’ at the Gyeonggi-do National Safety Experience Center in Osan, attended by 10 residents and experts from various sectors recommended by fire stations, including medical staff, university professors, safety managers, elderly and infant facility officials, and housewives.
‘So·Ba·Si’ is an abbreviation for ‘Citizens’ Thoughts on Gyeonggi Fire Services’.
The forum began by first disclosing the major achievements of Gyeonggi Fire Services this year and the direction of the top 10 key policies for next year to the resident representatives, followed by a Q&A session.
Earlier, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters selected the following top 10 key policies for next year: ▲Entering the world’s top 5 countries in fire safety per capita ▲Achieving a 96% fire cause investigation rate ▲Maintaining a grade 1 rating in the regional safety index for fire ▲Reducing the time from 119 call to fire truck dispatch by 1 second ▲Achieving a 57% fire truck arrival rate within 7 minutes ▲Entering the 10% range for cardiac arrest patient survival rate ▲Reducing infant and toddler safety accident rates by 5% ▲Reducing fire truck traffic accidents by 5% ▲Expanding dedicated volunteer fire brigades for the elderly to all fire stations ▲Reducing the three major serious misconducts by 10%.
