View original imageIn a letter delivered to the Ministry of Land staff on the 22nd, Minister Won stated, "Thanks to you, we were able to solve the accumulated problems one by one," and added, "Now, I am stepping down from the heavy responsibility of being the Minister of Land. Thank you all for everything."
He continued, "Despite the overflowing workload, weekend field activities, and daily morning situation meetings, I have placed a heavy burden on you," "but with you, I had the belief that we could improve the lives of future generations frustrated by soaring housing prices and workers exhausted by their commutes as soon as possible."
Minister Won said, "I expect that the remaining tasks will be steadily and well resolved by the next minister and all of you," and added, "You and I are forever a family of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and one team."
He also concluded, "I have received so much while serving as minister," and said, "I am grateful to my colleagues who have worked with me, and I will not forget the security guards, cleaning staff, and especially the victims of jeonse fraud who remain a pain in my heart, and I will stand with them until the end."
