Gwangju City Election Commission Inspects Voting Facilities with Disability Organizations in Preparation for Next Year's General Election
The Gwangju Metropolitan City Election Commission announced on the 20th that it conducted a joint inspection of voting facilities with disability organizations in preparation for the 22nd National Assembly election.
This inspection was carried out together with seven local disability organizations, including the Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, to enhance voting convenience for voters with disabilities.
The inspection focused on polling stations that had been evaluated as lacking convenience facilities and those whose facilities had changed since the two major elections in 2022. The commission directly checked the routes to the polling places and thoroughly inspected points expected to cause inconvenience according to different types of disabilities.
