NH Investment & Securities Announces Organizational Restructuring and Executive Appointments... "Business Structure Reorganization and Strategic Business Development"
NH Investment & Securities announced on the 18th that it has carried out an organizational restructuring and executive appointments to strengthen the internal operations of its business in response to the overall growth stagnation in the securities industry, accelerate business structure reorganization, and establish a foundation for sustainable growth through the cultivation of strategic businesses.
In the retail division, under the direction of specializing in both personal PB services and non-face-to-face services, the face-to-face channel will be converted into a PB business targeting HNW clients. A new PWM (Private Wealth Management) division will be established by integrating the existing PB Headquarters and WM Business Division to focus on services for HNW clients. The Retirement Pension Consulting Headquarters, previously under the WM Business Division, will be reorganized directly under the Retail Business General Management to expand market dominance.
In the IB division, the existing Project Finance Headquarters will be reorganized into an infrastructure investment specialized organization and renamed the Infrastructure Investment Headquarters. To promote new businesses utilizing expertise in real estate finance, a Real Estate PE Department will be newly established under the Physical Asset Investment Headquarters. To respond to the expansion of overseas business in the acquisition finance sector, the Hong Kong/New York/London IB1 desks, previously directly under the IB1 Business Division, will be reorganized under the Investment Finance Headquarters.
In the asset management division, to enhance the stability and consistency of managed assets, a company-wide CIO (Chief Investment Officer) function will be introduced, and an Investment Asset Management Committee will be established directly under the CEO. The Trust Headquarters will be transferred from the existing OCIO Business Division to the Asset Management Division to increase the professionalism of trust asset management and manage assets under a consistent asset management strategy.
To strengthen internal control functions, the existing Compliance Supervision Headquarters will be renamed the Compliance Support Headquarters, and a Compliance Planning Team responsible for planning functions will be newly established directly under the headquarters. Lastly, to advance the ESG promotion system, an ESG Headquarters will be newly established within the Management Support Division, with the ESG Promotion Department and Public Relations Office organized under it to strengthen external communication and coordination.
An NH Investment & Securities official stated, "The securities industry has experienced a prolonged growth phase due to the development of capital markets, abundant liquidity, expansion of the investment base, and digital transformation. However, recent changes in the market environment have clearly led to growth stagnation across the industry, necessitating preparation for this. Through this organizational restructuring, we aim to strengthen the internal operations of our business by improving resource efficiency and enhancing the management system, accelerate business structure reorganization and cultivate strategic businesses to prepare for the future, and continuously strengthen our position as a leading domestic financial investment company in the industry."
Along with the organizational restructuring, NH Investment & Securities also carried out executive-level appointments on the same day. In particular, emphasis was placed on revitalizing the organizational atmosphere with stability by advancing young executives with expertise and capabilities.
