LG Uplus announced on the 17th that it will equip KG Mobility's electric vehicle 'Torres EVX' with its own connected car infotainment platform, 'INFOCONN'.
INFOCONN is a connected car infotainment system jointly developed by LG Uplus and KG Mobility in 2020, providing drivers with comprehensive vehicle-related services including ▲remote control ▲safety and security ▲vehicle management ▲assistance (driving support) ▲information ▲entertainment. Since the launch of INFOCONN, LG Uplus has installed the platform on all KG Mobility models such as Tivoli, Rexton, and Korando, strengthening its partnership with KG Mobility.
The INFOCONN service installed in the Torres EVX features a 12.3-inch large digital cluster (a screen displaying driving information inside the vehicle) and a panoramic display.
LG Uplus plans to launch the in-vehicle simple payment service 'INFOCONN Pay' in the first half of next year, continuously enhancing its competitiveness in vehicle infotainment.
The two companies are also planning collaborative models focusing on electric vehicle charging and OTT content planning.
