Daedong Awarded the '600 Million Dollar Export Tower'
Exports of Agricultural Machinery Including Tractors Totaling Approximately $604.7 Million from July Last Year to June This Year
Daedong, a future agriculture platform company (co-CEOs Kim Junsik and Won Yuhyun), announced on the 13th that it received the '600 Million Dollar Export Tower' award at the '60th Trade Day' ceremony hosted by the Korea International Trade Association and organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Daedong exported approximately 604.7 million dollars worth of tractors, small construction equipment, and transport vehicles from July 1, last year, to June 30 of this year, driven by balanced growth in major markets such as North America, Europe, and Australia. Compared to the performance from July 2021 to June last year, when it received the 400 Million Dollar Export Tower, exports increased by about 27%.

View original imageHaving targeted overseas markets since the 1980s, Daedong currently operates local subsidiaries in the United States, Canada, Europe, and China, as well as an office in Germany, selling its own agricultural machinery export brand KIOTI products in 70 countries, earning about 68% of its sales overseas. Daedong views this award as a result of sustained overseas growth through strategies such as expanding from small and medium-sized to large tractors, commercializing small construction equipment, and fostering markets in Europe and Australia.

Daedong plans to expand its export countries overseas to Europe, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East, and continue to shift its main sales models from small and medium-sized tractors to large tractors. Won Yuhyun, CEO of Daedong, said, "We will achieve greater growth not only in agricultural machinery and small construction equipment but also in future businesses such as mobility and robotics, continuously creating Daedong's economic and social value."
