Samsung and LG Hold CEO-Led Management Strategy Meeting Amid Complex Crisis

Samsung Electronics on the 14th, LG Electronics on the 15th

Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, having concluded their year-end greetings, are entering their management planning for next year.

Samsung Electronics will hold a global strategy meeting starting on the 14th. This meeting gathers domestic executives and heads of major global subsidiaries in one place to share business goals and economic outlooks for the coming year. It is held twice a year, in June and December.

The meeting will be chaired by Han Jong-hee, Vice Chairman and Head of the Device Experience (DX) Division, and Kyung Kye-hyun, President and Head of the Device Solutions (DS) Division, both of whom retained their positions in the recent personnel reshuffle.

The sessions will begin on the 14th with the entire company and the Mobile Experience (MX) Business Division, followed by Video Display (VD) and Home Appliances on the 15th, and DS on the 19th. Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong is not expected to attend the meetings and will reportedly receive reports afterward.

LG Electronics will hold an expanded company-wide management meeting on the 15th, chaired by President Cho Joo-wan. This meeting, held twice annually in the first and second halves of the year, reviews management status and strategies with domestic and overseas executives.

The meeting will take place at LG Digital Park in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. Approximately 300 executives, including LG Electronics headquarters and business division management, overseas regional representatives, and subsidiary heads, will attend.

As LG Electronics newly established the Overseas Sales Division in this year-end organizational restructuring, sales strategies for overseas regions and subsidiaries are also expected to be discussed.
