On December 8, ahead of 'International Anti-Corruption Day' on December 9, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced the publication of an integrity newsletter and the implementation of the 'Connecting Mutual Respect' campaign.
The integrity newsletter published by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is released quarterly on the Office of Education’s website (Cheongnyeomhan Gyeonggi Gyoyuk → Cheongnyeom Nanumbang) to promote a culture of integrity and mutual respect.
The main contents include ▲ strengthened whistleblower protection system this year ▲ five key tasks for preventing abuse of power ▲ fourth quarter integrity activities by each institution.
In addition, to minimize intergenerational conflicts within the organization and prevent abuse of power culture, the 'Connecting Mutual Respect' campaign, which has been conducted since September last year, will continue.
To prevent abuse of power, since June, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has listened to opinions from employees at grade 6 and below, compiled them, and shared the feedback with managers to establish 'Five Key Tasks for Mutual Respect' that both employees and managers can empathize with.
The five key tasks are: giving feedback clearly, concisely, and gently; refraining from contacting employees after work hours; seniors driving themselves; avoiding forcing attendance at company dinners; and personally attending to internal and external guests.
Furthermore, 19 exemplary cases of various integrity culture activities promoted by affiliated institutions are published on the website, and institutions or individuals contributing to the prevention of abuse of power and the spread of integrity culture will be awarded at the end of December.
