Hong Young-geun, Head of Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, Launches Traditional Market Fire Prevention Campaign
Hong Young-geun, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, directly communicated with traditional market merchants to prevent fires during the winter season.
According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters on the 7th, Director Hong conducted a fire prevention campaign at the 'Mokpo Dongbu Market' in collaboration with the Korea Fire Insurance Association, Mokpo Fire Station, and the Dongbu Market Merchants' Association.
Due to the seasonal characteristic of increased use of fire sources and the highest incidence of fires in winter, the campaign was promoted to inspect the overall fire facilities of traditional markets and raise safety awareness.
Director Hong and Park Ui-seung, chief of Mokpo Fire Station, toured various parts of the market with merchants' association officials, emphasizing the importance of autonomous safety management and urging them to do their best in fire safety management.
Additionally, to establish a safety culture in traditional markets, the Fire Insurance Association donated 50 fire extinguishers to the Dongbu Market Merchants' Association.
