World No.1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) maintained his position at the top of the leaderboard.
On the 2nd (local time), at the Albany Golf Course (par 72, 7,449 yards) in New Providence, Bahamas, Scheffler fired a 7-under 65 in the third round of the PGA Tour's "special event" Hero World Challenge (total prize money $4.5 million), extending his lead to 3 strokes with a total of 16-under 200. Matthew Fitzpatrick (England) is in second place at 13-under 203, and Justin Thomas (USA) is in third at 11-under 205, both chasing the leader.

Using his long drives of up to 370 yards, he gained six strokes on the four par-5 holes. Notably, his eagles on the 3rd and 15th holes (both par 5) with "2-on 1-putt" stood out. This is a great opportunity to erase the disappointment of finishing runner-up in this tournament last year. Scheffler joined the PGA Tour in 2020 and has accumulated six career wins. In 2022, he became a major champion by winning the prestigious Masters Tournament.
