KG Mobility Sold 7,000 Units Domestically and Internationally Last Month... 38% Decrease YoY
KG Mobility announced on the 1st that it sold 7,000 units last month, including 5,050 units domestically and 1,950 units for export. This represents a 37.6% decrease compared to the same period last year.
The company explained that domestic sales declined due to halted production caused by the integration construction of the assembly line at the Pyeongtaek plant, as well as weakened consumer sentiment. Compared to the same period last year, domestic sales dropped by 21.4%, and exports decreased by 59.4%.
The new model, Torres Electric Vehicle (EVX), joined the lineup, resulting in a 9.0% increase in sales compared to the previous October. Despite subsidies being exhausted in some regions, 1,667 units of the Torres EVX were delivered last month alone.
Year-to-date cumulative sales through last month totaled 59,838 units domestically and 49,982 units for export, amounting to 109,640 units in total (excluding semi-knocked down products). This is a 4.9% increase compared to the same period last year. The company plans to increase exports by strengthening overseas marketing efforts.
