Yeo In-yo-han 'Request for Gonggwan Committee Chair'... "How Frustrated Must They Have Been" vs "Disappointing"
Ahn Cheol-soo "Means to Accept Innovation Plan"
Jang Ye-chan "In Yo-han is Hasty... Must Be Patient"
In Yohan, the Innovation Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated, "Please recommend me as the Chair of the Nomination Committee," sparking both support and criticism within the party.
Earlier, on the 30th of last month, Chairman In announced he would not run in the general election and requested to be recommended as the Chair of the Nomination Committee to enforce the innovation plan.
After the Innovation Committee meeting that day, Chairman In said, "I propose to the party leadership that I will sacrifice first. I will give up running for any elected position, including the Seodaemun district in this general election," adding, "If my declaration to give full authority to the Innovation Committee is not empty talk, please recommend me as the Chair of the Nomination Committee."

On the 31st of last month, Ahn said on YTN News Live, "When this Innovation Committee was launched, didn’t the party leader clearly say he would delegate all authority?" He added, "Therefore, I think it is desirable to show a stance of fully accepting the innovation plan immediately, and if there are any issues, to make some adjustments but largely accept them."
On the other hand, criticism has emerged that Chairman In’s request was inappropriate. Jang Ye-chan, the youngest Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, pointed out on YTN Radio’s 'News King with Park Ji-hoon' that "Discussing a position related to nominations at this critical time, just before the National Assembly’s overnight protest over the impeachment motion, was a mistake by Chairman In Yohan."
Jang said, "The reason I have supported the Innovation Committee so far was not to encourage him to become the Chair of the Nomination Committee," adding, "There are somewhat disappointing aspects, but I hope more focus will be placed on the essence of the innovation plan."
He continued, "Devotion and determination are things that seasoned politicians should be allowed to make honorably on their own schedule, and rushing to push through and oust someone is somewhat hasty. There is also an internal party opinion that 'too much is as bad as too little,' so it is necessary to wait and be patient according to the timing of politics."

Meanwhile, Kim Ki-hyun, the leader of the People Power Party, has immediately rejected Chairman In’s request. On the 30th, Kim said, "I do not think that the Innovation Committee’s activities were aimed at Chairman In becoming the Chair of the Nomination Committee," adding, "Given the very serious situation in the National Assembly, it does not seem appropriate to stir controversy over the position of Chair of the Nomination Committee."
