From Restaurant Search to Reservation in One 'Q'... Naver AI Search Applied
Naver announced on the 1st that it has applied the generative artificial intelligence (AI) search 'CUE:' to its integrated search.
CUE: is a generative AI search service that Naver has been operating on a trial basis since last September. It provides high-quality, up-to-date answers based on information built through Naver's knowledge base and other sources. It is linked with various Naver services such as shopping and local. It considers the intent and context of the user's questions on its own, delivering information that users previously had to obtain through multiple searches all at once.

The CUE: applied to integrated search is flexibly displayed depending on the type of query entered by the user. For long conversational queries with specific intent, CUE: answers can be checked immediately at the top of the search results. In particular, for questions requiring recommendations or suggestions such as '~haejwo' (do~), '~allyeojwo' (tell me~), '~chucheonhaejwo' (recommend~), '~mwoya?' (what is it?), if the user inputs a search term including the desired place and characteristics or includes specific context in the query, it responds effectively.
For example, if you ask "Find a restaurant in Seongsu-dong that can be reserved for Christmas and has parking," it shows places that meet the conditions at the top of the search results by linking Naver Place information and the reservation system. Starting from product, recipe, and place searches, it connects to actions such as shopping, grocery shopping, and reservations without additional separate searches.
It also provides highly reliable information in information searches. For a query like "Tell me about festivals in Seoul," instead of pulling information from the web, it answers based on currently ongoing or upcoming festival information.
Beta users of CUE: can use it directly from integrated search without visiting a separate service page. It is currently available on the PC version, and there are plans to expand to mobile next year.
