Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, a subsidiary of HD Hyundai (CEO Shin Hyun-dae), has launched a dedicated control tower for safety and energy management to accelerate the creation of a zero-accident work environment.
According to the heavy industries sector on the 1st, on the 30th of last month, the company held an opening ceremony for the ‘Integrated Control Center’ at its PR hall, attended by CEO Shin Hyun-dae, executives and employees, as well as officials from Yeongam Fire Station and the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency.

The opening ceremony proceeded in the order of △commemorative and congratulatory speeches △ribbon cutting △facility tour and simulation, with attendees celebrating the launch of the Integrated Control Center and reaffirming their commitment to building a safe workplace.
The Integrated Control Center implements a technology-based safety platform and consists of the ‘2119 Safety Control Center’ for accident prevention and rapid response systems within the company, and the ‘Energy Control Center,’ a specialized management organization to strengthen energy use and carbon neutrality policies.
The 2119 Safety Control Center oversees safety control management through the operation of △video surveillance systems △intelligent video analysis systems △emergency reporting applications, while the Energy Control Center handles △energy policy response △operation and maintenance of the in-house energy management system △digitalization of energy performance information and other energy-related tasks.
Through the operation of the Integrated Control Center, the company expects not only to establish a zero-accident workplace and an immediate response system in case of accidents but also to achieve energy savings and improve production sustainability.
