Lee Jung-jae Donates 50 Million Won to Senior Filmmakers Association
Actor Lee Jung-jae will donate 50 million won to an organization for veteran filmmakers.
On the 30th, the Shin Young-kyun Arts and Culture Foundation announced that Lee Jung-jae will deliver a donation of 50 million won, including the 20 million won prize money from the 13th Beautiful Artist Awards ceremony held on the 24th of last month, to the Korean Veteran Filmmakers Association at the foundation's office on the 4th of next month.
At the event, Lee Haeryong, president of the Veteran Filmmakers Association, Moon Cheol-jae, secretary general, executive officer Oh Kyung-ah, and actors Eom Yoo-shin, Jo Sang-gu, and Han Ji-il will attend to present a plaque of appreciation.
Lee Jung-jae said, "Whenever I occasionally hear rumors that the seniors who devoted their youth to film are living in hardship due to poverty and illness, as a junior who has benefited from their support, I feel sorry, and my heart aches whenever I hear the sad news that some have passed away alone."
