Green Umbrella Jeonnam Headquarters Holds Handover Ceremony with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power in Yeonggwang
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter KHNP) and Green Umbrella Child Fund announced on the 30th that they held a delivery ceremony at the 'Saenggakbaljeonso' (Thinking Power Plant), a complex cultural space for children constructed at the Namurangsup Regional Child Center located in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do.
This was conducted as part of the 'Regional Child Center Happiness Sharing' support project sponsored by KHNP and organized by Green Umbrella.
KHNP's 'Regional Child Center Happiness Sharing' support project is a renewal in 2021 of the 'Happiness Addition Hope Wing' project that has been implemented since 2012. Among the Regional Child Center Happiness Sharing projects, Saenggakbaljeonso is a project that creates a complex cultural space for children by providing maintenance and equipment support for idle spaces in regional child centers. The Jeonnam Saenggakbaljeonso, where the delivery ceremony was held, is the 299th case, and this year, 10 additional locations including the Jeonnam region will be established, bringing the total to 304 sites.
The Jeonnam Namurangsup Regional Child Center Saenggakbaljeonso is an 8-pyeong (approximately 26.4 square meters) space utilizing a duplex layout, equipped with an E-BOOK zone, audio zone, board game zone, and cinema zone. The cinema zone uses a beam projector to transform the Saenggakbaljeonso complex cultural space into a movie theater, turning it into a space where children want to stay.
Na Young-joo, Head of the Regional Cooperation Department at KHNP Hanbit Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "We hope that through the Saenggakbaljeonso space, which serves as a strong hideout-like complex cultural space for children, they can unfold their dreams," adding, "KHNP will continue various social contribution projects so that future generations never give up on their dreams and hopes."
