Inyohan Apologized in One Day... Ruling Party Says "Different from Lee Jun-seok"
Inyohan, the Innovation Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, apologized within a day after causing controversy by making remarks such as "no morality, parents' fault" directed at former representative Lee Jun-seok during a lecture for party members. The ruling party praised this, saying "well done." It was also seen as a contrast to former representative Lee, who has been embroiled in past 'racial discrimination' controversies but has not issued any significant apologies. Former representative Lee showed a lukewarm response to the apology.
Jang Ye-chan, the Youth Supreme Council Member of the People Power Party, said on KBS 'Radio 1 Today' on the 28th, "It was good that he apologized. There can be disputes in the political process, but it is absolutely unacceptable to mention parents or family," praising Chairman In's apology.

Chairman In reportedly said at a People Power Party youth and party member innovation training event held recently in Taean-gun, Chungnam Province, "Through Korea's ondol floor culture and warm spot education, one learns knowledge, wisdom, and morality, but Jun-seok has no morality," and "It is not Jun-seok's fault but largely his parents' fault," sparking controversy over insulting parents. Chairman In apologized within a day after the controversy arose.
Youth Supreme Council Member Jang said, "I want to say that Chairman In did well to apologize quickly," but also pointed out, "However, former representative Lee has repeatedly hurt and mocked those around him with sharp words. I have never heard of him apologizing to anyone for such behavior."
Supreme Council Member Kim Byung-min also said on Channel A radio show 'Political Signal,' "It seems former representative Lee was displeased with Chairman In calling him 'Jun-seok,' but Lee calls other politicians by their names without honorifics even if they are older," and "Lee has never apologized for his English remarks directed at Chairman In."
However, Kim evaluated that Chairman In suffered losses from this remark. Kim said, "I wonder if terms like 'where did you learn that' are appropriate politically, but when they clashed, Chairman In suffered much greater damage," and "When facing former representative Lee, knowing his tendencies and content well, it was regrettable that there was no reason to respond to this."
Kim Geun-sik, the People Power Party's Seoul Songpa-gu Byeong District Committee Chairman, wrote on his social media, "It is more painful that he gave former representative Lee, who shows serious problems with character and manners, an excuse for counterattack. Still, Chairman In is definitely different. He promptly acknowledges mistakes and apologizes," and evaluated, "Politics can involve mistakes, but courageous and swift apologies are often more difficult, and that is why Chairman In is different from former representative Lee."

Former representative Lee showed a lukewarm response to Chairman In's apology. He shared a statement from Chairman In's apology saying, "When a child is at fault, adults are criticized, and in that sense, I just said a word, but the arrow went to the parents, so I sincerely feel sorry and apologize," and said, "Honestly, it is difficult to interpret what he means. So I don't know how to respond. Anyway, thank you for your efforts as Innovation Committee Chairman."
