Starbucks Introduces Stores at Top 10 Attractions with Korea Tourism Organization
Starbucks Korea and the Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 23rd that, in celebration of the ‘2023~2024 Visit Korea Year,’ they will introduce 10 stores out of 1,870 nationwide as ‘Starbucks Top 10 Landmark Stores’ and launch a campaign encouraging eco-friendly travel.
This campaign promoting eco-friendly travel is part of a business agreement signed between Starbucks and the Korea Tourism Organization on the same day.
The Starbucks Top 10 Landmark Stores are selected as stores that are great to visit not only for foreigners visiting Korea but also for domestic travelers. The stores chosen are The Yangpyeong DTR Store, The Bukhangang R Store, The Bukhansan Store, The Yeosu Dolsan DT Store, The Jeju Songdang Park R Store, Ewha Womans University R Store, Byeoldabang Store, Gyeongdong 1960 Store, Daegu Jongno Hanok Store, and Chuncheon Gubongsan R Store.
First, the five ‘The (THE)’ stores offer specialized interiors and menus. These stores differentiate their content to create unique spaces that customers want to visit and experience firsthand.
The Ewha Womans University R Store is symbolic as Starbucks Korea’s first store, and the Gyeongdong 1960 Store is located in a traditional market, remodeled from a movie theater closed 60 years ago, offering a unique experience. The Daegu Jongno Hanok Store, which reinterprets a 100-year-old traditional Korean house where coffee and music coexist, and the Chuncheon Gubongsan R Store, which offers a great view of Chuncheon city, are perfect tourist attractions.
The Byeoldabang Store does not use a place name or building name but adopts the nickname that domestic customers use for Starbucks as its store name, allowing visitors to enjoy an urban oasis presented by a large digital art wall.
