On the 22nd, the Uichang Fire Station of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held the '2023 Fire-Free Safe Village' event at the Sannam Village Hall in Dong-eup.
The 'Fire-Free Safe Village' initiative is promoted annually to minimize damage caused by residential fires by creating safe villages, encouraging voluntary participation of village members, and spreading a safety culture to eliminate blind spots in fire safety management.
The event was attended by Lee Sang-gi, Chief of Uichang Fire Station, along with about 20 firefighters and volunteer firefighters, and approximately 50 residents of Sannam Village.
The main activities included ▲a donation ceremony and training on the use of residential fire safety equipment ▲unveiling of the Fire-Free Safe Village plaque ▲and a residential fire prevention campaign.
