Jeonnam Province Supports Translation and Interpretation Fees up to 1.5 Million Won for Small and Medium Export Companies
Jeollanam-do is addressing trade-related interpretation and translation issues for export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have difficulty hiring professional interpretation and translation personnel.
On the 20th, Jeonnam Province announced that it will support interpretation and translation expenses to assist export companies in expanding overseas and strengthening global competitiveness.
The support targets export companies with headquarters and factories located in Jeonnam. Each company can receive up to 1.5 million KRW twice a year.
The support covers interpretation costs and translation costs. Interpretation cost support provides funding for hiring professional interpreters for companies that require interpretation during meetings, contracts, exhibitions, and other events for entering overseas markets.
Translation cost support provides funding for companies that need translation of documents for export, such as trade correspondence, company introductions, product promotional materials, and contracts, to enter overseas markets.
Companies wishing to receive interpretation and translation support can contact the Jeonnam Provincial Office of International Cooperation. More detailed information is available on the Jeonnam Export Information Network website.
Shin Hyun-gon, the International Cooperation Officer of Jeonnam Province, said, "We are supporting interpretation and translation expenses to expand the capabilities of export companies and open overseas channels amid difficult trade conditions," and urged, "Since the project funds may be exhausted early, please apply as soon as possible."
