Thermo Fisher Scientific Opens Battery Customer Experience Center
Thermo Fisher Scientific, a U.S. medical equipment and analytical instrument manufacturer, announced on the 14th that it will officially open a Battery Customer Experience Center in Gangnam, Seoul.
This center allows global battery manufacturers to access Thermo Fisher’s latest technologies, including the company’s ‘Linspector’ measurement and control system, covering everything from lithium-ion battery manufacturing to quality control. Experts in material characterization, extrusion, rheology, inline thickness and weight measurement, and product inspection are stationed on-site, providing access to the company’s specialized analytical instrument knowledge.
Through this center, the company plans to collaborate with battery manufacturers to support application (app) assistance, product demonstrations, training, and innovation in battery manufacturing and quality processes. Manufacturers are expected to improve quality and reduce lithium-ion battery waste through collaboration at the center.

The center will serve as a hub not only for the domestic market but also for key end markets in the battery sector such as China, supporting battery innovation and production.
Miguel Faustino, President of the Chemical Analysis Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific, said, “We are very pleased that the Battery Customer Experience Center established in Korea can help solve manufacturing challenges currently faced by the lithium-ion battery industry, from the highest level of technology development stages.”
