Socar Introduces Recommendation Service Using Naver's 'HyperCLOVA X'
Socar announced on the 3rd that it will launch an AI chat-based car-sharing recommendation service as the first mobility partner utilizing Naver's ultra-large language model, ‘HyperCLOVA X’.
The car-sharing recommendation service introduced by Socar using HyperCLOVA X is part of the business agreement (MOU) signed by the two companies last July. Going forward, Socar plans to collaborate with Naver to introduce various ultra-large AI services by leveraging valuable data accumulated over the past 12 years from operating and managing more than 20,000 vehicles nationwide in a contactless manner.
Through this service, users can have a simple conversation with Naver’s conversational AI service ‘CLOVA X’ and provide information such as desired schedule, purpose of use, and location. The AI then recommends and guides users on vehicle types, Socar zone locations, and prices, allowing users to make reservations seamlessly within the Socar app. Specifically, based on Socar’s valuable data, HyperCLOVA X understands customer intent, extracts accurate information, and provides necessary answers and options, simplifying and streamlining the reservation process.
Notably, this collaboration is the first case of opening an API (Application Programming Interface) to recommend car-sharing services outside of the Socar app. Socar expects to secure a larger number of monthly active users (MAU) and generate new car-sharing reservations and revenue through integration with Naver Reservation.
