The purpose is to establish infrastructure to revitalize the sewing industry in the Junggok-dong area, support small manufacturers, and inject vitality into the local economy.
The Gwangjin-gu Comprehensive Support Center for the Sewing Industry, which opened on the 1st, was established in the Junggok-dong area where the sewing industry is concentrated. The center was built with a total project cost of 4 billion KRW. It occupies the basement level 1, 3rd floor, and 4th floor of the building, with a total floor area of 625.4 ㎡.
To create a comprehensive support center that meets users' needs, a preparatory committee was formed, and several meetings were held with sewing organizations to actively reflect opinions on remodeling design and the purchase of sewing equipment.
The basement level 1 consists of a studio for product photography for online promotion and a multipurpose training room. The 3rd floor is designed as a shared workspace, exhibition hall, and office. The 4th floor is an automatic cutting room equipped with two cutting machines to efficiently utilize the limited workspace.
The center plans to promote various projects to revitalize the sewing industry, including ▲providing automatic cutting services ▲use of shared workspaces and equipment ▲sewing practical and startup education programs ▲holding order meetings and developing sales channels.
