Pyeongtaek City Operates 'Songtan Market Kids Market'
Providing Students with Opportunities to Explore Traditional Markets
Includes Activities Such as Making Eco Bags and Grocery Shopping
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 24th that it will operate the 'Songtan Market Kids Market' as part of the city's 'Onmaeul One Click' project.
'Onmaeul One Click' is a future education cooperation district project promoted together with the Gyeonggi-do Pyeongtaek Office of Education. It is a program that provides experiential opportunities reflecting the local history and characteristics in connection with the school curriculum of elementary and middle schools in the area.
The newly established 'Songtan Market Kids Market' is designed to offer students the chance to explore traditional markets. About 60 students from three local schools, including Changsin Elementary School, will participate in activities such as making eco-bags, mission quizzes, and shopping.
The city expects that using Onnuri gift certificates will not only help students develop proper consumption habits but also contribute to revitalizing the stagnant traditional markets.
