Smart Factory Production Excellent SME Products in One Place
Ministry of SMEs, Korea Federation of SMEs, and Samsung Electronics Host '2023 SmartBiz Expo'
The Korea Federation of SMEs (Chairman Kim Ki-moon) announced that it will hold the '2023 Smart Biz Expo' from the 24th to the 27th at COEX Hall B in Seoul. This event showcases products from outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have built smart factories through the 'Large and Small Win-Win Samsung Smart Factory Project' and supports their market development.
Hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and co-organized by the Korea Federation of SMEs and Samsung Electronics, the event features 99 SMEs from various industries including home appliances, food and beverages, daily necessities, machinery equipment, industrial goods, and parts and materials.
The event supports participating SMEs' market expansion through various programs such as exhibitions in four special themed halls, operation of a purchasing consultation zone for business matching with domestic and international buyers, operation of a live commerce studio supporting Naver live commerce broadcasting, and free product photography services.
The opening ceremony was attended by Oh Ki-woong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups; Jung Yoon-mo, Executive Vice Chairman of the Korea Federation of SMEs; Park Seung-hee, President of Samsung Electronics; Oh Young-gyo, Chairman of the Win-Win Growth Committee; and Ahn Kwang-hyun, Head of the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group. Lee Jae-jung, Chair of the Industry, SMEs and Startups Committee, and Kim Kyung-man, member of the Democratic Party, sent congratulatory messages via video.
The Korea Federation of SMEs operates a separate booth at the venue, providing ▲ guidance and consultation on the Win-Win Smart Factory Project ▲ distribution of brochures and smart handbooks related to the Win-Win Smart Factory Project.

Executive Vice Chairman Jung Yoon-mo stated, "The Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Federation of SMEs, and Samsung Electronics have laid the foundation for innovative growth of SMEs by transferring large enterprises' innovation know-how to SME sites through the Large and Small Win-Win Smart Factory Project," adding, "In line with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' new digital manufacturing innovation promotion strategy, we will expand support for the Win-Win Smart Factory to help small manufacturing companies leap forward."
