Urban Planning Design According to the Wishes of Gangdong Residents
November 10th, 4 PM, Gangdong-gu Office Auditorium: 'Gangdong Grand Design' Public Forum... Recruiting 100 Residents from 5 Districts to Discuss and Propose Regional Development Plans
Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced that it will hold the ‘Gangdong Grand Design’ public forum at the Gangdong-gu Office auditorium on November 10.
This is to gather opinions from residents actually living in the area for the mid- to long-term urban development plan being established by the district, in order to design the future of Gangdong that residents desire.
‘Gangdong Grand Design’ is a blueprint for designing a systematic urban development plan by predicting various changes in urban conditions such as population, urban space, and transportation over the mid- to long-term. Since the launch of the 8th elected administration, the district has been focusing on promoting this project.
The upcoming public forum divides Gangdong-gu into five zones, allowing 20 residents from each zone to participate. It is designed as a time for residents to directly engage in discussions and freely propose or debate the development direction of their local area.
The forum will proceed in the order of ▲ sharing the ‘Gangdong Grand Design’ basic urban development plan ▲ sharing the vision and goals of the ‘Gangdong Grand Design’ and collecting opinions ▲ resident proposals and discussions by zone for regional development plans ▲ overall discussion and presentation of results. Facilitators will be assigned to each zone to help ensure smooth discussions.
Residents who wish to participate in the forum can apply online via the application link or QR code by November 1. A total of 100 participants will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis, with 20 residents from each of the five zones (① Gangil·Sangil ② Myeongil·Godeok ③ Amsa ④ Cheonho·Seongnae ⑤ Gildong·Dunchon).
