Imsil-gun to Host 'Crispy Kimchi Festival' Until December 2

Imsil County in Jeonbuk announced on the 23rd that it will hold the "8th Imsil Crispy Kimchi-making Festival" at the Imsil Cheese Theme Park area until December 2.

This year, unlike last year, the kimchi-making experience event will be held on-site from December 17 to 19.

The experience event plans to offer various programs such as premium kimchi, instant singing contests, and food booths.

The county will also conduct a sales event (pre-order) where customers can receive salted napa cabbage and seasoning either via courier delivery or on-site pickup (drive-thru).

The sales price for the set of salted napa cabbage (20kg) and seasoning (10kg), including delivery fees, is 185,000 KRW.

However, if picked up directly at the Imsil Enyangnyeom Village Project Group, the price is 177,000 KRW, excluding delivery fees.

Households can easily solve their kimchi-making concerns by simply mixing the pre-ordered salted napa cabbage and seasoning to their taste, which has been highly praised as sales have increased year by year.

Meanwhile, the "Imsil Crispy Kimchi-making Festival" has been recognized for its taste and quality, with a steady increase in applicants since 2016. Last year, a total of 102 tons were sold, generating sales of 490 million KRW, contributing to the promotion of local agricultural product consumption.

This year, more than 100 tons of products will be secured to sell salted napa cabbage and seasoning boasting the best quality.

County Governor Shim Min said, "We have done our best to ensure that consumers can enjoy healthy agricultural products such as napa cabbage and chili peppers produced in Imsil with peace of mind," and added, "We ask for your great interest in the Imsil Crispy Kimchi-making Festival."
