Busan Relocated 'KCC EGIS' to Hold Home Season Opener at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium
The home opener of the KCC EGIS professional basketball team, which relocated its base to Busan, will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, the 22nd, at the Busan Sajik Indoor Gymnasium.
This opener is the first game held after the KCC EGIS professional basketball team moved its base to Busan, facing off against the Seoul Samsung Thunders, who finished 10th last season.
The game will be attended by the Mayor of Busan, the owner and general manager of the KCC EGIS basketball team, the owner of the BNK Sum women's basketball team, over 10,000 basketball fans, and citizens of Busan.
To celebrate Busan's first opener and to raise the basketball enthusiasm together with many basketball fans and citizens who visit the stadium, various pre-game events will be held one hour before the opener.
Pre-celebration events include ▲ introduction video of the Busan KCC EGIS basketball team ▲ cheerleader performance ▲ congratulatory performance by the idol group ‘Mimi Rose’ ▲ player introductions ▲ opening declaration ▲ ceremonial first pitch (Mayor of Busan) and ceremonial first pitch (Mimi Rose).
Following this, the first official game of the Busan KCC EGIS basketball team will begin at 4 p.m.

Tickets for the opener can be reserved online through the KBL integrated homepage and the KBL app (smart ticket entry available), and can also be purchased on-site on the day of the game.
Park Hyung-jun, Mayor of Busan, said, “It is a moving experience to have held the base relocation agreement ceremony on September 25 and to watch the opening game in person. I hope the team will continue the momentum from winning the 2023 KBL Cup and dominate the professional basketball league as the strongest team.”
The 2023?2024 KBL regular season will run from the 21st of this month until March 31 of next year, with each team playing 54 games (27 home, 27 away), and the team finishing in 6th place will advance to the playoffs.
