President Yoon Suk-yeol appointed Kim Seon-ho, former Commander of the Capital Defense Command (retired Army Lieutenant General), as the Deputy Minister of National Defense on the 19th.
The Presidential Office spokesperson announced through a press release that morning that President Yoon appointed former Commander Kim as the Deputy Minister of National Defense, stating, "The new deputy minister's term will begin on the 20th."
Born in Seoul in 1963, Deputy Minister Kim graduated from the 43rd class of the Korea Military Academy and has served as Deputy Commander of the 22nd Army Division, Deputy Chief of the Planning and Management Staff at Army Headquarters, Commander of the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division, and Director of Force Planning at the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
