Korea University to Host Special Lecture by Ban Ki-moon on the 19th: 'Climate Crisis and Carbon Neutrality'
Korea University announced on the 17th that it will hold a special lecture titled "Climate Crisis and Carbon Neutrality" by inviting Ban Ki-moon, former UN Secretary-General, at 5 p.m. on the 19th in the main auditorium of the Science Library on the Natural Sciences Campus of Korea University.
Former Secretary-General Ban recognized global warming as a major issue and contributed to the conclusion of the Paris Agreement, which calls for the gradual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Even after his retirement, Ban has continuously spoken about the climate crisis, and he is expected to lecture on climate change in this special lecture as well.

This special lecture was planned to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the College of Engineering at Korea University. The College of Engineering plans to invite speakers from various fields every week to hold special lectures. Lee Hae-geun, Dean of the College of Engineering at Korea University, said, "We humbly accept the teachings and wisdom of the world and aim to design a hopeful future for the upcoming 60 years of the College of Engineering."
