Jajangmyeon Bowl Price Surpasses 7,000 Won for the First Time... Dining Out Prices Soar
The price of a bowl of Jajangmyeon has surpassed 7,000 won for the first time.
According to the Korea Consumer Agency's price information portal 'Chamgagyeok' on the 16th, among the eight popular dining-out items in Seoul last month, the prices of four items increased compared to August.
During this period, the price of a bowl of Jajangmyeon in Seoul reached 7,069 won, exceeding the 7,000 won mark for the first time in a year and a half since it rose to the 6,000 won range in April last year.
The price of 200g of Samgyeopsal also approached 20,000 won. The price of one serving (200g) of Samgyeopsal at restaurants rose from 19,150 won in August to 19,253 won last month.
The price of Samgyeopsal increased from 16,983 won in January last year to 18,851 won in September of the same year, and recently has been nearing 20,000 won.
Naengmyeon increased from 11,231 won in August this year to 11,308 won last month, and Bibimbap rose from 10,423 won to 10,500 won during the same period.
The prices of Kimchi Jjigae (7,846 won), Samgyetang (16,846 won), Kalguksu (8,962 won), and Gimbap (3,215 won) remained the same as in August last month.

Additionally, the cost of bathing in the Seoul area rose from 9,769 won in August to over 10,000 won last month, while barber shop fees remained at 12,000 won.
