Bucheon-si to Host 'Pet Harmony Festival' on the 5th of Next Month
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the 'Pet Harmony Festival' on the 5th of next month at the Bucheon City Hall Lawn Plaza.
This event is composed of ▲Pet Culture School ▲Pet Sports Day ▲Experience Programs, designed to establish a healthy pet culture and offer programs that pet owners and their pets can enjoy together. In particular, to enhance satisfaction with the event, convenience facilities such as separate playgrounds for small dogs and medium-to-large dogs, as well as pet restrooms, have been prepared.
At the 'Pet Photo Exhibition,' which aims to share and cherish the emotions and happiness pets bring, photos of pets participating in this event can be viewed. Pre-registration is available from the 16th to the 31st through the '2023 Bucheon Pet Harmony Festival' blog.
With the recent continuous increase in pet-owning households, campaigns promoting pet etiquette to ease conflicts between pet owners and non-pet owners, campaigns for stray cat protection, and adoption campaigns for lost and abandoned animals will also be conducted to improve awareness of animal welfare.
Additionally, with active participation from animal-related organizations and groups, there will be pet emergency care sessions with experts, one-on-one health consultations, training consultations, grooming consultations, and free basic grooming services.
Furthermore, a talk concert will be held featuring Professor Lee Woong-jong, known for the TV program Animal Farm, and actor Kim Ha-young, known as a pet lover. This will provide a communication platform to exchange information about pets, and activities such as healthy running, manners sports day, and "I am a Star" (fashion show) will be held to enjoy and bond together.
