The Nutrition Coaching Academy is an industry-academia cooperation program jointly designed by Samsung Welstory and Seoul National University. Twenty nutritionists from Samsung Welstory are participating, and the program will run for eight weeks until November.
This is the first nutrition coaching expert training program in the food service industry based on food and beverage service capabilities. Expert instructors, including professors from the Department of Food and Nutrition at Seoul National University and nutrition team leaders from tertiary hospitals, directly participate in the lectures. They have designed a specialized curriculum that enables participants to manage nutrition according to health conditions, evaluate meals, and conduct nutrition counseling. Additionally, data analysis education will be provided to professionally coach personalized meal management and eating habits based on data.
Earlier, Samsung Welstory signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) last month with Gangbuk Samsung Hospital to develop healthcare programs, and this educational program was prepared as part of that initiative. The company aims to secure a pool of experts necessary for the development and operation of healthcare programs in advance, and the trained experts will be active in future healthcare programs to be developed.
