Hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and involving Namyang Dairy Products, Pukyong National University, and the Korea Fisheries Association, this agreement was made to establish a collaborative system for evaluating prototypes of seafood-based movie theater snacks, commercializing them, and formal sales.
Namyang Dairy Products plans to develop products in collaboration with the food processing company The Source Korea, pioneer distribution channels using the company's sales network, and focus on entering various facilities such as movie theaters.
Cho Seung-hwan, Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, said, "Previously, seafood was mainly consumed at home and in restaurants, but now many people seek it anytime and anywhere as part of leisure and health management," adding, "We plan to explore various measures to expand consumption so that our people can encounter our seafood more frequently not only in movie theaters but also in everyday life."
