Roadside 'Sohwajeon Jesubyeon' Covers to Change... Ulsan Fire Headquarters Launches Design Improvement Project
A project to improve the design of fire hydrant valve covers protruding on the roadside is being promoted.
The Ulsan Fire Department plans to improve the ground covers of fire hydrant valves with designs that anyone can easily recognize and to expand their distribution.
The fire hydrant valve serves as a valve for the underground water supply pipe of the fire hydrant and is mainly used to cut off the water supply to the fire hydrant when it is malfunctioning.
It is difficult to distinguish this fire hydrant valve from general water supply valves, and it is not easily noticeable, causing various management problems such as being buried during road construction.
The Ulsan Fire Department plans to first install the improved fire hydrant valve covers on new and old fire hydrant valves and gradually expand the installation.
