View original imageAccording to major foreign media on the 8th, hundreds of festival attendees fled from Hamas rocket fire and gunfire by armed militants at a music festival in the Negev Desert in southeastern Israel in the early morning, and have since gone missing.
The outdoor festival, held overnight from 11 p.m. the previous day, was celebrating the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The venue was near the border between the Palestinian Gaza Strip and Israel.
According to The New York Times (NYT), dozens of bodies were seen being removed from the scene, but the exact number of casualties has not been confirmed. The NYT reported that one list contained the names, hometowns, and family contact information of over 500 missing persons.
Currently, various social media platforms are sharing lists to find those who went missing after attending the festival. It remains unclear whether these missing individuals were killed by Hamas militants or taken hostage, and their whereabouts and status are still unknown.

Meanwhile, major foreign media reported that projectiles launched from Lebanon struck an Israeli military post at the Shebaa Farms, occupied by Israel, on the same day.
