After a shaky start with bogeys on the 4th and 6th holes, she made her first birdie on the 8th hole (par 4), showing a slow front nine. However, while her pursuers faltered, she showed resilience with a birdie on the 13th hole (par 5), followed by a bogey on the 14th hole (par 4), but then consecutive birdies on the 15th and 16th holes. Kim maintained a five-stroke lead, seizing the opportunity for her sixth career win, her first in one year and six months since the Lotte Championship last April. Following Yeo Hae-ran’s victory at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship last week, Korea has a chance to claim the top spot for two consecutive weeks.
