Im Si-hyun (Korea National Sport University) surpassed An San (Gwangju Women's University) to become the triple gold medalist in archery at the Asian Games.

On the 7th, Im Si-hyun defeated An San in the women's individual archery final held at the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Center Archery Field in Hangzhou, China, during the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. Having previously won gold medals in the mixed team event and the women's team event alongside her teammates, Im Si-hyun thus achieved a triple crown at the competition.

This is the first time in 37 years since Yang Chang-hoon (4 golds), the current women's national team coach, won three gold medals in archery at the 1986 Seoul Asian Games, where medals were awarded by distance, resulting in as many as 12 gold medals.
